Foam Lance Fit: Check the Washer, Gun and Supplied Connector

A familiar pressure-washer brand on a listing is only the start of a foam-lance fit check. Establish the exact machine, the gun or lance connection you will use and the connector actually included in the selected package. Doing that before ordering is more useful than buying a supposedly universal attachment and then collecting adapters until something appears to connect.

Foam Lance Fit: Check the Washer, Gun and Supplied Connector — the main decisions in order, without measured product results.
Original explanatory diagram; not a product photograph.

    Identify the complete existing setup

Record the washer model and any changed gun or lance, using the product label and the relevant documentation. An aftermarket gun can alter the connection you need even when the machine itself has not changed. Keep photographs for comparison, but do not rely on a photograph alone to establish compatibility or a safe pressure rating.

The useful question is where the new accessory attaches in your actual setup. Trace the connection rather than assuming it must attach directly to the machine body. If the equipment is second-hand or modified and its identity is uncertain, resolve that first instead of treating a brand name as a complete specification.

Read what the selected lance actually includes

Autoglym states that its Polar Blaster comes with a connector for Kärcher K-Series washers, with other connectors available separately. That statement belongs to the named Polar Blaster package; it does not turn every foam lance or every Kärcher-branded machine into the same fit. Confirm the supplied retail option before purchase.

Kärcher identifies the checked FJ 6 as part 2.643-147.0, for K 2 to K 7 machines. Its page also names an Adapter M exception for older pre-2010 M, 96 and 97 trigger guns. This is why the actual gun matters alongside the machine. Confirm the relevant connection and retail package; a similarly shaped accessory is not established as equivalent.

Check compatibility before buying an adapter

Confirm the accessory and connection requirements through the relevant manufacturer rather than inferring them from thread appearance or a marketplace compatibility keyword. A connector needs to be intended for both sides of the setup. Something that can be pushed or screwed together is not thereby proven suitable for the equipment.

Do not stack uncertain adapters to work around an unidentified connection. Ask for the precise compatible part and instructions, including whether a replaced gun changes the answer. Keep any expected additional purchase in the comparison; a cheaper lance can stop being the cheaper useful setup when the required connector was omitted from the original calculation.

Separate mechanical fit from chemical suitability

Even a confirmed connector does not establish which liquids belong in the lance. Polar Blaster is designed around the named Polar system, and Autoglym does not recommend extending it indiscriminately to other products. Read the chosen equipment and chemical instructions together rather than treating the reservoir as permission to foam anything in the wash cupboard.

A regular garden hose is also a different setup: Autoglym says Polar Blaster is for pressure washers, not an ordinary hose connection. Decide what equipment you actually own before comparing foam accessories. Do not buy a pressure-washer attachment to solve a task that you intended to carry out with a different water-delivery system.

    Compare the complete useful purchase

List the lance, confirmed connector, compatible product and any missing equipment once. Cross out stock you already own and can legitimately use. The result is a more credible value comparison than ranking bottle capacity or a claimed foam thickness while ignoring whether the accessory will connect to your washer.

CDK has not physically fitted these accessories to your machine or tested a chain of adapters. The buying guide gives the checked choices; this page explains the evidence to obtain before selecting one. Keep the cleaning and storage routine in view too, so a successful fit becomes a usable ownership setup rather than an awkward one-off purchase.
