Choosing a Snow-Foam Lance That Fits Your Washer
Check your pressure washer and trigger gun before choosing a foam lance. This comparison covers two named options with Kärcher K-Series connection guidance; it does not verify adapters for every washer brand. The aim is to avoid a mismatched fitting or package, not to name a winner from foam thickness or an unperformed cleaning test.
Start with the washer and trigger gun
Record the washer model, the gun fitted to it and the connection the accessory needs. A replacement gun or an older fitting can matter even when the washer has the expected brand badge. Compare that actual setup with the manufacturer's compatibility information.
Choose the liquid separately. A foam lance is hardware; a snow-foam bottle is a chemical product. A listing that includes one does not automatically include the other, and a garden-hose attachment is a different connection decision.
Two options for a Kärcher K-Series setup
Kärcher identifies the FJ6 as part 2.643-147.0 with a 0.6-litre container. Its product information describes adjustable detergent dosing. These identify the accessory and its controls; they do not establish better cleaning or a useful number of cars per fill.
Autoglym describes Polar Blaster for its Polar range and a supplied K-Series connector. The checked retailer title states 800ml, but the readable manufacturer page reviewed here does not independently give a capacity. We do not use that figure as a manufacturer-confirmed advantage.
Check older guns and separate adapters
Kärcher's FJ6 page includes a specific caveat for pre-2010 trigger guns M, 96 and 97: Adapter M, part 2.643-950.0, is required. Check an older or replacement gun rather than assuming the washer's K-Series name settles the fitting question.
Autoglym states that other connectors are separate purchases. Do not interpret the standard Polar Blaster listing as a universal adapter kit, or assume it fits a professional HD/HDS setup, another brand or an altered gun. No physical fitting test has been carried out for this guide.
Choose the chemical and mixing method separately
Follow the chemical and hardware instructions together. Autoglym's application method directs users to the relevant Polar product instructions. A hardware dial position is not, by itself, a measured concentration on the car.
Liquid mixed in a reservoir is diluted again as the equipment draws it into the water stream. The existing snow-foam guide explains why bottle mixture and panel concentration are different. Do not transfer one brand's mixing instructions to another liquid merely because the same lance is used.
Allow for rinsing and storage
Both manufacturers describe rinsing or flushing the equipment after use. Include that step in the routine you are buying for. Leftover product and neglected equipment should not be treated as a reliable basis for comparing the two accessories.
Check how you will fill, handle and store the accessory with your own gun setup. We have not measured balance, trigger effort, flow or cleaning results. Published dimensions or a larger bottle do not replace those tests.
Read the selected hardware package
The checked destinations are the named FJ6 hardware and Polar Blaster hardware. Neither is presented here as a verified bundle of snow foam, adapters for other brands or extra bottles. Read the selected retailer package before comparing its price with a different kit.

Questions before ordering a foam lance
Will either fit a regular garden hose? Do not buy these as garden-hose attachments. Autoglym explicitly says Polar Blaster needs a pressure washer; check the FJ6 connection against the intended washer and gun.
Does a larger reservoir clean better? That has not been established. Container volume describes capacity, not detergent chemistry, final concentration or a measured cleaning result.
Can every Kärcher owner skip the fitting check? No. The older-gun adapter caveat is a concrete reason to inspect the gun as well as the washer model.
Which makes the thickest foam? We have not tested that, and foam appearance alone is not a comparative cleaning test. Select a compatible method and follow the named liquid's instructions.
